This refreshingly stimulating and dynamic young jazz & blues band is not to be missed. Led by the UK Award Winner for Best Reed Player in 1993, Jeremy Huggett, Band of Gold is the youngest professional jazz & blues band in the UK. Although young, its members are experienced and have worked with top names such as Danny Moss, Digby Fairweather, Beryl Brydon, Acker Bilk, Pete Allen, Phil Mason, to name a few. Having been formed for less than 18 months, the band has worked extensively throughout the UK and abroad, has recorded 2 CDs and appeared live on BBC radio, as well as at all the major jazz festivals. They can be hired for gigs anytime anywhere.

Radio Stations

GWR FM
Radio Caroline - The 60's pirate station.
Bristol Hospital Broadcasting Service - Provides programmes to all the hospitals in Bristol. The service started in 1952 provides record request programmes, sports commentaries from The Memorial Stadium, Ashton Gate and the County Cricket ground. Concerts from the Colston Hall and the Bristol Hippodrome are also covered.

City of Bristol Choir
Mixed choir of about 50 voices singing a wide range of choral music to the highest possible standard in Bristol and around the South West of England.

Nailsea Musicals
Nailsea Musicals started in 1979 performing Oliver. The Club has gone from strength to strength in the past 20 years and now performs 3 or 4 shows each year. We have a strong membership in both the Adult and Junior sections. The Adult Section has just started rehearsing for their Autumn production of Sweet Charity whilst the Junior Section have just finished their performance of The Dracula Spectacula. We are always looking for new members to join the Club - details can be found on our web site.

The Brass Band participates in various contests with the highlight of the year being the West of England Championships in Spring. The Band has risen steadily over the years from the 4th Section and is currently in the 3rd section.

The Veroneka Big Band
Based in Portishead
Veroneka is an 18 or 19 (sometimes maybe 20 piece) big band playing music in a swinging style. We can play for dancing, eating, just listening or a combination of all these and possibly more, although sleeping is not really possible. If you want to boogie, shuffle, jive, rock and roll, waltz, quickstep or smooch, then look no further.

Bristol Choral Society is part of a long tradition of more than a hundred years of choral music in Bristol. They are a very lively group, producing the highest standard of performance in our home city as well as touring regularly in Europe. They aim to continue this tradition into the next millennium, giving as many concerts as they can, and promoting the enjoyment of choral singing both for audience and singers. Entry to the Choir is by informal audition - you can sing with them for a few weeks before deciding to join.

St. Patrick's Choral was formed in Sep 2004 and is a mixed voice choir with 27 membes as of March 2006. We practice most Thursdays evenings from 7.30 to 9.30. We welcome new members and there are no auditions.

The Thekla

The Thekla is one of Bristol's and the South Wests best known underground night clubs, one of Britain's few boat-clubs, and clocked into the top 200 clubs in the world in a recent poll.
