A splendid neo-Elizabethan hall containing treasures from all over the county. Bones and models of the Hornsleasow dinosaur, a sea-dragon and other fossiles. Local wildlife, live fish and a beehive. The Birdlip mirror of Celtic engraced metalwork. Votive tablets and sculptured tombstones of Roman Gloucestershire. A figured Romanesque backgammon set from Gloucester Castle. Queen Anne walnut furniture. Georgian silver, glass, porcelain, clocks and barometers. Dutch and English landscape paintings supplemented by art exhibitions throughout the year.

Open Monday to Saturday 10am to 5pm, SUnday (July to September only) 10am to 4pm.
